Taco Republic, locally owned by Bread & Butter Concepts in Kansas City, has developed this seasonal taco pass in the hopes of keeping their restaurant full during what promises to be a long, cold winter in Kansas City.
Katy Zimmerman, Digital Media & PR Coordinator, for Bread & Butter Concepts said the idea for a taco season pass came from thinking about ski passes, and how people use them in the winter to access the mountains whenever they want to go skiing.
The “taco pass” would work similarly, only you would be given access to tacos, instead of mountains and skiing. In Kansas City, tacos seem like they would be a more practical and delicious deal.
“We were trying to come up with something that played to what we do best at Taco Republic, and that would be tacos,” said Zimmerman.
“People might not consider us as often when the weather gets colder, but they shouldn’t hesitate. We close off our outside patio and fire up the heat lamps in our outdoor dining area to a warm and cozy temperature,” said Zimmerman.
“Late night on Fridays, we host Fire Pit Fridays from 9:00 pm -11:00 pm where we give someone interested in sitting outside by our fire pit for a quick drink or late dinner the opportunity to bundle up and join us for that,” says Zimmerman, “it really is a lot of fun.”
It pays to refer a friend as well at Taco Republic. Now, through December 15th, if you refer a friend to purchase a season pass from Taco Republic, you will receive $50 back. That's a gift that keeps on giving.
